


HEAD COACH - RONNIE WATSON
This is Coach Watson’s 7th year at Sparkman High School. He graduated from Athens State University with a degree in Social Science/Secondary Education. He is currently teaching World History at Sparkman Ninth Grade School. Coach Watson graduated from Buckhorn High School where he played both football and baseball. He also serves as the Sparkman High School Wrestling Head Coach.
DEFENSIVE COORDINATOR/SECONDARY - THOMAS HARRIS
Coach Thomas Harris is a graduate of Hazlewood High School in Town Creek, AL . This is his 2nd year at Sparkman High and his 18th year coaching overall. Coach Harris has made coaching stops at Hazelwood High School (2000 2A State Champs), Tanner High School (2012 and 2013 2A State Champs). He then coached at Hazlewood High School from 1990-2000 and Tanner High School from 2003-2007. He has one son Thomas Harris III, Tre, who is 2 years old.

OFFENSIVE COORDINATOR/QUARTERBACKS - KENNY GILLIAM
Coach Kenny Gillam grew up in Limestone County in the little town of Coxey. He is a 1996 graduate of Clements High School. Coach Gillam attended Calhoun Community College, Southern Union Community College, and Auburn University. He graduated from Athens State University with bachelor’s degrees in health and public safety, and health and physical education.
His coaching career began as a volunteer at Clements High School. After that, he coached at Athens High School, including coaching the receivers for the 2006 5A state champions. After leaving Athens, he taught in Jefferson County for seven years, and spent the last two years as the offensive coordinator at Minor High School. After Minor, he went to Oakman High School as offensive coordinator, where his team went to the second round of the state playoffs three straight years and made it to the third round his last year. He and his wife Tonya have three children: Alyssa, Triton and Kyleigh.
