

RUNNING BACKS - DEZMOND RICHARDSON
Dezmond is a graduate of Sparkman High School and currently the Assistant Director at Premier Preschool. This is his 8th year coaching at Sparkman. He has very positive things to say about his running backs for this year: “I have a very young athletic group of running backs this season and I am excited to see their development over the season.”
WIDE RECEIVERS/STRENGTHENING - LARRY SEVIER II
Born in Chicago, Coach Larry Sevier graduated from Paul Roberson High School where he played football and baseball during his entire tenure as a student. His love and dedication for sports continued on the collegiate level, where he played cornerback and special teams at Alabama A&M University. His coaching career includes: Sparkman Middle School running backs, defensive coordinator at Meridianville Middle, wide receivers and defensive backs for Hazel Green High School, defensive coordinator for Meridianville Middle and head coach at Meridianville Middle. Coach Sevier started out at Sparkman as the head coach of the freshman team three years ago. Currently, he is the varsity wide receivers and strengthening coach. He loves contributing to the growth of student-athletes and believes that champions are forged by hard work and dedication. His dream is to help turn Sparkman High School into an academic and football powerhouse.
DEFENSIVE LINE - MATT SMITH
Coach Smith is a graduate of Tanner High School. He played football at Miles College. Matt coached at Tanner High School from 2010 to 2017 and was part of two state championship teams as an Offensive Line and Defensive Line coach.
OFFENSIVE LINE - GREG CAMPBELL
Greg graduated from Butler High School where he played football. He continued his football career at Jacksonville State University from '91-'93. He has coached football at Butler, Lee, and Hazel Green High Schools. He has spent the last two years coaching at Saint John Paul Catholic High School. He is married to Kim Tate Campbell. They have two sons; Tate and Dalton Campbell.
